Position Title: Sr. Manager, System Qualification & Field Methods Engineering Location: Tianjin Reporting to: Director, Engineering
Position Specification: Responsible for the elevator system and component testing & qualification and design of the Test & Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and subsequent execution: Responsible for field methods engineering designs and installation concepts for components and systems Product support and root cause analysis for turn-backs and escapes to the field. Basic Accountabilities: 1. Develop the Test & Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and the overall verification strategy for the system development programs. 2. Ensuring the TEMP identifies the task and activities needed to be performed so that all aspects of the system can be successfully implemented and requirements are met. 3. Define test environment and preparation (models, simulators, dynes, towers, data analysis and measurement equipment) and run tests on systems or components for verification of requirements, performance, conformance and reliability. 4. Certification support including testing requirements to support applications for government regulation and codes certification. 5. Design for installation optimization, robustness and safety. 6. Root cause analysis, Mistake proofing and corrective actions for field turn-backs and escapes caused by the TEMP. Key Measurements: 1. Quality of TEMP design and execution based on metrics of qualification escapes and FTB’s during product release pilot phase. 2. Number of turn-backs in installation methods during pilot phase. 3. Continual reduction in installation hours and cost. 4. Safety metrics
Principle Working Relations: Program Management, FOD, OSC, SIT Engineering, Sales
Qualification Requirement: · Education: Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering · Experience: B.Sc.: 7 years of related experience in technical and managerial leadership experience. Music.: 5 years of related experience in technical and managerial leadership experience. · Language: Proficient in English in both written and oral. · Experience and knowledge of process improvement methodologies and tools such as Six Sigma or equivalents is a distinct advantage · Previous experience in elevator design, installation and testing is advantageous to this position · Computer Skills: Microsoft office. · Good interpersonal and communication skills
